1. Who is responsible

WK Sourcing is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy, confidentiality or data-rights requests, contact us by email at WK Sourcing.

2. Information we collect

We collect only information that is relevant to a sourcing enquiry, project discussion or business relationship. This can include:

  • name, business email address, phone number or WhatsApp contact;
  • company name, country or market, role and public business profile details you choose to share;
  • product categories, specifications, quantities, target pricing, packaging, timing, quality requirements and project messages;
  • documents, images, drawings, product lists or other materials you submit; and
  • limited technical and security information such as IP-derived abuse-prevention signals, browser request data and form verification results.

We do not ask for special-category personal data and ask that you do not submit it through this website unless it is strictly necessary and you have first contacted us.

3. Why we use information

We use enquiry and project information to respond to requests, assess sourcing feasibility, communicate about quotations or samples, coordinate suppliers and quality checks, maintain a record of agreed project discussions, and protect the website from fraud or abuse.

Where GDPR applies, our usual legal bases are taking steps requested before a contract or performing a contract, our legitimate interest in operating a secure and professional sourcing service, and your consent when it is required for optional technologies. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

4. Confidential project materials and intellectual property

Product ideas, drawings, specifications, quotations, supplier information, images, packaging artwork, samples and commercial plans can be commercially sensitive. Unless we agree otherwise in writing:

  • we use these materials only to evaluate, quote, source, coordinate or support the project you ask us to handle;
  • ownership remains with you or the party that supplied the materials;
  • we do not publish project materials, use them in marketing or share them with unrelated parties without your written permission; and
  • we do not use submitted project materials to train public AI models.

Where a supplier, inspection partner, freight provider or service provider must receive relevant details to perform a requested service, we share only what is reasonably necessary. A separate NDA or service agreement can provide additional project-specific protections.

5. Sharing and international handling

Access is limited to WK Sourcing personnel and service providers who need the information for the purposes above. These may include website hosting, email, security, cloud storage, supplier research, inspection or logistics providers. They must handle information under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

Because sourcing work is international, information may be processed outside your country, including outside the EEA or UK. Where applicable, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers and limit transfers to what is necessary for the requested work.

6. Retention and security

We retain enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to the request and manage a legitimate business relationship. Enquiries that do not develop into a project are normally reviewed for deletion or anonymisation after 24 months of inactivity. Project, transaction and compliance records may be retained longer when operational or legal requirements make this necessary.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to restrict access, protect systems and minimise the information retained. No online system is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending passwords, bank-card data or other information that is not needed for a sourcing discussion.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small first-party preference cookie, wk_cookie_consent, to remember your choice for up to 12 months. This is necessary to respect your Cookie preference.

Cloudflare security and Turnstile technologies may process limited device or browser signals when you use protected features such as the enquiry form. They are used to prevent spam, fraud and automated abuse. Google Analytics 4 is an optional analytics service used to understand aggregate website usage, such as pages visited and broad device or location signals. It loads only after you choose “Accept all” in the Cookie notice. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels on this site.

You can change your decision at any time with the Cookie settings button in the lower-left corner of the site, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Email WK Sourcing with enough information for us to identify the relevant enquiry or project. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and normally respond within one month where GDPR applies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will always appear on this page.
